Meet Our Dental Team

Melanie, Treatment Coordinator

Melanie has been working at Dr. Voto’s practice for four years and counting, and she loves being able to help patients achieve their dental goals by assisting them through the treatment process. Coordinating appointments doesn’t have to be stressful with her experienced guidance!

Melanie is originally from Coffeyville, and she has her BSE in Early Childhood Education from the University of Kansas. She and her husband Kevin (who were high school sweethearts) have a son named Cole. In her free time, she hangs out with friends and family, plays board games, tinkers with crafts, organizes, and shops.

Mary, Hygiene Coordinator/Front Office

Mary’s career in the world of dentistry covers an impressive 25 years so far, with the last seven spent here in our office. She has attended multiple training courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies in order. Today, her favorite part of her current position is being able to help people achieve excellent dental health and see the value of that accomplishment grow over time. She’s a true wiz when it comes to making sure everyone receives the personalized care they need!

Mary hails from Rock Island, IL. She has been married to her husband Kurt for 30 years, and they have two grown daughters named Bailey and Jordan. Her hobbies outside of work include going to concerts, reading, shopping, and watching movies. She also always loves riding with her husband on his Harley.

Ryoko, Dental Assistant

Ryoko first joined our dental team four years ago, and she has six years of overall experience in the field. She studied early childhood education at Okinawa Woman’s Junior College before attending the Green Country School of Dental Assisting. She is also trained in CPR, radiation safety and protection, coronal polishing, topical fluoride, and sealant application. Today, what she enjoys most about her work is being able to help others have a healthy smile. She is particularly passionate about seeing children and has a true talent for caring for them. They bring her joy and happiness!

Ryoko is originally from Okinawa, Japan, but she ended up marrying a country boy and moving to Oklahoma in 2011. Today, she and her husband Steven have two sons named Ethan and Luke, two dogs named Gunner and Clementine, and a cat named J.D. She spends her free time with her family, hiking, taking little trips in the summer, and baking in the winter time – everyone in the office loves her banana bread and sugar cookies. She also loves wearing cowboy boots and listening to country music! She calls herself “Country Girl” when she uses the word “ya’ll” without thinking.

Samantha (“Sam”), Front Office

Sam is from Oologah, and she attended the Green County School of Dental Assisting. Today, her career in the field spans four years, with hopefully many more to come! She greatly enjoys meeting new patients every day and getting to know them well over the course of their visits.

Sam has an amazing and very large family who are split between Oklahoma and Nebraska. Her husband’s name is Justin, and she also has a stepdaughter named Elizabeth. Outside of work, she visits car shows, travels, and simply spends quality time with loved ones. She also has a pet indoor pig!

Jennifer, Dental Hygienist

Jennifer is from Owasso, and she studied dentistry at Tulsa Community College. She is trained in advanced laser therapy for periodontal health and the administration of local anesthesia. Today, her career in oral healthcare covers 15 years so far! She loves her patients dearly and being able to help them achieve healthy, lasting smiles every day at the practice.

At home, Jennifer and her husband Chris have three kids named Miranda, Kaden, and Collin. When she isn’t busy at the practice, her hobbies include photography, going to church, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Gena, Dental Hygienist

Gena joined our dental team in November of 2008, but her career in dentistry as a whole first got started in 2003. She studied at Rogers State University and the Tulsa Community College dental hygiene program. She is certified in nitrous oxide, the administration of local anesthesia, and advanced laser therapy for periodontal health. Helping patients enjoy healthier mouths is always a wonderful part of her position, as well as forming strong relationships and spending time alongside her amazing coworkers.

Gena hails from Collinsville originally. She and her husband J.R. were married in 2005, and they have a son named Wyatt and a daughter named Gentry. Whenever she isn’t busy at the practice, you can often find her watching her son playing baseball and golf, baking, and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys doing anything that makes her think, like games, puzzles, trivia, escape rooms…the list goes on.

Heidi, Dental Hygienist

Heidi’s career in the dental field first got started 18 years ago, 15 of which have been spent working in the hygiene department. She studied at Eastern Oklahoma State College, the University of Arkansas, and Tulsa Community College’s dental hygiene program. Today, she is certified in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and laser therapy. Being able to form strong, trusting relationships with patients while helping them meet their dental needs is her favorite part of this job.

Heidi is from Mannford, and she and her husband Kevin have two children named Easton and Ava. She spends virtually all of her free time with her kids, watching Easton play baseball while Kevin coaches the team or going to the ball parks all together. Ava is Easton’s biggest cheerleader too!

Lauren, Dental Assistant

Lauren has been working in dentistry for over five years now, with most of those spent right here at our practice. Originally from Lee’s Summit, MO, she has attended courses at Missouri State, Tulsa Community College, and the dental assisting school at Platt College, earning her certification in radiographs. Her favorite part of the job is the wonderful people she works with and the patients themselves!

Lauren has two children named Kenna and Titus, as well as an adorable Lab named Baker. Outside of the office, she exercises, runs, and goes to the pool regularly with her kids. She is also currently in school to one day become a nurse and hopefully work in the NICU! She can’t wait to be able to save the lives of little babies and help them go home happily with their parents.

Anita, Dental Assistant

Anita first joined Dr. Voto’s staff a decade ago, and she has 18 years of overall experience in the world of dentistry. She pursued her initial dental assistant training at Tulsa Technology Center and has also completed the Gerety Orthodontics training course and earned her certification in polishing and dental sealants. She thinks that there’s a lot to love about her job, from the coworkers to the patients to the fact that every day is a new, unique adventure!

Originally from Avant, Anita has been married to Nathan for over 15 years and has three lovely furbabies named Littlebit, Keif, and Mary Jane. Her hobbies include going to music festivals, traveling, cooking, and attending concerts. IN the past, she also taught riding lessons at a camp near her hometown and still has a strong love for horses.
