Why I Became a Dentist
I’ve always been interested in helping people, so initially I wanted to be a medical doctor. My older brother did as well, and as he was making his way through medical school, he basically let me know that I might want to try something else! From that, I started to explore dentistry, and I saw how it would enable me to build close relationships with people while working independently. I eventually decided to pursue it, and 12 years later, I still love it!
Dental Education & Advanced Training
My undergraduate degree is actually in zoology, which I earned from the University of Oklahoma. Looking for a new challenge (and on the advice of my brother), I went on to study dentistry, and in 2006, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. I later moved to Owasso to join the practice where I am today.
To me, learning about dentistry never ends, as new technologies and techniques are constantly being developed. This is why I maintain active memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society, Oklahoma Dental Society, and the Tulsa Dental Society. I also frequently participate in the Spear Study Club and Oil Capital Study Club.
Outside of The Office
Most of my time at home is spent with my wife Mandy looking after our son and daughter, and we try to make it out to the lake whenever we can! I also consider myself a bit of an adventurer, so I enjoy travelling to and experiencing new places whenever I can.
